Design Team Inspiration - Stamp on Patterned Paper

Stacey here to show off one of my very favorite Uniko Studio stamp sets and Designer Die collections, Pure Florals: Chrysanthemum!

I love to stamp images on patterned paper...it's so easy, but creates a beautiful effect!  Here are a few tips to consider when stamping on patterned paper!
  1. Choose papers that are muted and/or have subtle patterns.
  2. Alternate contrasting colors for a "pop" of color!
  3. Die cut your paper first, then line up the stamp to ink them up...don't worry if it's not perfect...it's handmade, after all!
  4. Embellish with buttons, sequins, and/or twine to dress it all up!

Thank you

Good morning!  Amber here, from Bella Rose Cards.  I really love heat embossing.  It's lots of fun and produces great results.  I can't get enough of the Graphic Flower Dies, so I used them, once again, for this card.  I cut all three sizes from some bright green cardstock, and used neon purple embossing powder for the stamped flowers.  I layered the three flowers atop some super cool leaves that I found in the Silhouette store.  I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment onto a purple cardstock layer, then embossed that layer with an embossing folder.  I backed it with a layer of craft foam and adhered it to my green card base.  I attached the flower and finished it off with a little white pearl.

Design Team Inspiration - Rainbow Flowers

Hello everyone!
It's Erika here to share a new fun card with you today.

I wanted to make a card with lots of color this time so I decided to do some stamping in the colors of the rainbow using the Flower Power #2 stamp set.

To make this card I cut my card base to an A6 card using some white Bazzill cardstock. I cut of about 1 centimeter from the front to make it a little bit shorter than the back.

Then I stamped my flowers on white cardstock using various Distress Inks and cut them out. When I had them all cut out I started adhering them to the edge of the card front, trying to make them hang over the edge so the front would be as wide as the back again.

Finally I added some washi tape and drew some faux stitching lines around the flowers and beside the washi tape.

For my sentiment I used the word "just a note" from the All Occasion Sentiments #1 stamp set.

Here is a closeup of the card. Hope you like it.

Supplies
Card Stock: Bazzill Basics Smooth White Cardstock (name unknown)
Ink: Ranger Archival Jet Black, Distress Ink in Seedless Preserves, Aged Mahogany, Worn Lipstick, Scattered Straw, Faded Jeans, Pine Needles, Tumbled Glass.
Stamps: Uniko Studio Flower Power #2, All Occasion Sentiments #1
Other: Washi Tape, Black Marker.

Straight to it!

Hey!

How are we all today? I hope your week has got off to a good start. So, I was still rather jet lagged yesterday due to only 3 hrs sleep, so much for me thinking I was nearly over it, my body clock was still on Vegas time, last night was better so it must be somewhere over the Atlantic now! Lol!

Anyway, I kept myself VERY busy yesterday and even found time to stamp to make this card...

I decided to make another masculine card to add to the small stash I have, I've been neglecting the men when it comes to card making! Easily done as feminine cards are SO much easier to make with all the lovely floral supplies available these days.

For this card I used one of the arrows from Accent Essentials: Arrows and paired it with one of the tiny chevron stamps from Wonderful Washi - Christmas. I inked one side of the chevron in Pumpkin Pie & the other in Real Red, inspired by the colours on one of the trees outside the studio. I did the same for the sentiment which is a mix of All Occasion Sentiments #2 and FONTiments - Birthday. The stamped panel is adhered to the base card with foam adhesive for a little dimension.

That's all from me today, I've some reordering of dies to do today & finalise some new die designs, plus some stamp designing to do, so many ideas that I need to bring to life!

Have a great day & thank you for stopping by :)

Flowers & a Winner!

Hey!

Happy Monday, today I have another card to share which I also made before I went away...

I started out by stamping one of the Flower Power #2 blooms in 3 colours, the leaves from Natures Treasures 1 and fussy cut them out. I then die cut a large circle from a white mat layer and adhered my cluster around the die cut. The sentiment is also from Flower Power #2 stamped before adhering the mat layer to the base card with foam adhesive.

I'm just about recovered from the jet lag & easing myself back into a routine today, happy that the sun is out so I can make a dent in the holiday washing and adjust to the lower temperatures without too much of a shock to the system!!

Before I go I have the winner of the September Design Team Blog Hop to announce - a little late but better than never! All the comments were counted up and Random.Org chose the following number...

The Saturday Show!

Hey!

I'm SO happy you've stopped by today as I've prepared one of my FAVE posts, The Saturday Show, where I share some of the FABulous creations I have spotted around blogland or been emailed from super lovely customers using their Uniko Studio products. It gives me such a BUZZ and I'm sure you will be inspired by what I have to share with you today...

First up is this beauty from N@Ali...

N@Ali has used Background Builders: Lattice (back in stock soon) on her card & used such a lovely soft & muted colour combination. The sentiment is from Flower Power #3 and finishes the card off perfectly stamped on the banner. You can check out more of N@Ali's creations HERE on her blog and HERE over at CAS(E) this Sketch!

Next up is Jane and she has been super busy creating cards using Uniko Studio products it was hard to choose which ones to share with you here today!

On this first card, Jane has used the Graphic Flowers Designer Dies, the friend sentiment from All Occasion Sentiments #3 and peeking from behind the smallest flower a circle image from Background Builders: Round In Circles.

I just love the cluster of flowers die cut from such a lovely mix of patterned papers which work so well together. It has also inspired me to think about using more patterned papers in my CAS card designs.

This next card also by Jane captured my attention as I am still loving designs on an angle...

Jane has used Background Builders: Flower Power & the Just for You sentiment from Flower Power #2 to create a perfectly stamped card in an awesome colour combination, with added balance from the tiny purple flowers, plus the angle. Love it! Be sure to pop on by Jane's blog HERE to see more wonderful & daily inspiration.

Next up is Sarah from Sazzle Dazzle Crafts with this beauty...

Sarah emailed me the link to her card (thank you) and has combined a sentiment from Flower Power #2 and the striped circle from Background Builders: Round In Circles with a butterfly from Clearly Besotted, which shows the versatility of stamping products and supplies. I love the colours Sarah has used too. Be sure to check out more of Sarah's creations HERE.

The last cards I am sharing today are by Gillian from Made With Sparkle...

The Washi trend is still in full swing and Gillian has showcased Uniko Studio's Wonderful Washi clear stamp sets on her cards just beautifully.  I just LOVE the bright colours and over layering of the vellum washi strips on the first card and the angle and blue strips of the second. Be sure to check out more of Gilian's creations HERE.

That's all the customer creations I have to showcase with you today, be sure to pop on by their blogs and share some love there too.

I LOVE to see what you have created & showcase your creations here on the blog for others to see, but I don't always know where you all are in blog land so just drop me an email with a link or send me a photo of your creation to share on the next 'The Saturday Show' post.

Thanks for stopping by today :)

Design Team Inspiration - Silhouette

Hello everyone!
It's Erika here to share a fun card with you today. As usual it is quite simple and easy to make.

I have a stamp set sitting on a shelf in mu craft studio that I really love, but I just haven't found a way to use it on a card yet. So I challenged myself and decided that today I was going to make a card with that set. The set I am talking about it the lovely Natures Treasures stamp set.

To make this card I cut my card base to an A6 card, that is a standard size here in Sweden, I guess even in Europe (?). An A6 card is about 4 1/8" x 5 3/4". I used my Distress Inks from Tim Holtz and a few foam applicators and started adding colors directly to the card base. I then tried to make something of a landscape. I should probably have looked up what a sky looks like before starting to add my colors though, I realized that the ones I chose probably wasn't the best ones. But to be honest it doesn't really matter.

After I had colored my background I started stamping with Archival Jet Black ink from Ranger. I didn't really plan where to stamp and perhaps I could have done a better job stamping, but as usual I just try and get things done. I am not one of those "perfect" crafters, I make loads of mistakes and I am ok with that. Nobody knows what the finished project was supposed to look like so no one can complain either, right? ;)

For my sentiment I used the word thank you from the All Occasion Sentiments #3 stamp set.

I have also made a short video of me making this card, you'll find the video on the bottom of this post.

Hope you like the card.

Here is the YouTube Video:

September Design Team Blog Hop!

Hey!

I'm SO happy you've stopped by the blog today as we've a Design Team Blog Hop for you to enjoy. So grab a drink, get comfy and enjoy!

This month here at Uniko Studio we are having a fresh look at the previously released Flower Power series of clear stamp sets. There are currently 3 sets in the series and there is a lot you can do with these mini sets on their own & EVEN more when you combine all 3!

Here's a look at the sets...

For my project today I decided to create a selection of thank you cards as I will be needing a few to thank people for their wedding gifts we were lucky to receive. I think this set of five cards shows the series off in a very CAS way, but I'm super pleased with how they turned out...

I kept the layout of all the cards the same and changed just the colours of the flowers & matched this to the base card colour too. I added one more flower on the fifth card which isn't from the Flower Power series, but from the Time clear stamp set. The smallest graphic flower is the perfect size & so works perfectly with the stem & leaves.

If I hadn't of needed them myself they would look lovely packaged up for a gift for a friend at Christmas!

Ok, so that's enough from me lets get onto the Design Team Hop, you can find the order below in case there is a broken link along the way...

Stacey

How about a PRIZE...?

Simply comment along the hop for the chance to win the featured sets or a set to the same value if you already own them! You have until Midnight 14th September to comment and I will announce the winner here on the blog 15th September.

Enjoy the inspiration & thank you for hopping along with us today!
